Give someone a fish and they will eat for a day. Teach them to fish and they will live for a lifetime - that is the key difference between a "consultant" and a "coach".

Or as another analogy, think about riding a bike - a business consultant will explain why one bike is better, teach you how to ride the bike and, if necessary, ride the bike for you. A business coach, on the other hand, will help you understand how and why you ride a bike, help you to determine what's holding you back from riding it properly, and jog along next to you as YOU ride.

A consultant brings skills and experience to benefit the client on a project basis, while a coach assumes the client has the skills and just needs to better direct and utilise them.

With over 28 years of business experience managing products and leading people I provide a hybrid approach and the benefits of providing both consulting and coaching services depending on the need you have.
