I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Adelaide University with majors in Pharmacology and Physiology, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Elton Mayo School of Management at the University of South Australia.
My experience has been garnered from various Sales, Marketing and Management positions within the Australian pharmaceutical, OTC and medical device markets. Roles at Upjohn, SmithKline Beecham, Faulding Pharmaceuticals and Orphan Australia over 25 years have provided me with the vision, experience, purpose, drive, creativity, communication skills and business acumen needed to succeed.
A proven and multi-skilled Sales and Marketing professional and manager, I have consistently reached and exceeded sales, profit and productivity targets. My experience has provided me a broad and thorough understanding of most therapeutic groups across the pharmaceutical industry.
My core capabilities include: strong communication skills; the ability to integrate multiple groups; leadership, coaching and developing representatives and managers; identifying and realising business opportunities; and thorough strategic planning and implementation. I accomplish this with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
My experience includes operating effectively across a broad range of competitive environments and company structures ranging from 6 people to hundreds. I have successfully managed large multi-million $ products as well as niche, "orphan" products with limited funding, and built sales and marketing teams from scratch into highly productive, motivated and effective units.
I also provide a consultancy service to small business with the focus of helping owners realise the importance of planning, and to then develop appropriate and individualised business plans that help them set, reach and exceed sales, profit and productivity targets.
I maintain and develop my creativity through a passion for photography (Certificate in Creative Photography), photo art (Photoshop) and web page design (Dreamweaver).
